STOUT’S TRANSPORTATION NAMED 2016 BUSINESS PARTNER OF THE YEAR
Pennington, NJ – November 7, 2016: The Mercer County Technical School District’s General Advisory Committee named Stout’s Transportation the 2016 Business Partner of the Year. Located in Trenton, Stout’s Transportation caters to groups of all sizes with a diverse fleet of passenger coaches and buses. Stout’s Transportation is known for their superior service.
Stout’s Transportation was selected for its commitment to mentoring Mercer County Technical School students in the areas of automotive technology, automotive collision and diesel technology. Rich Tisone and Vivan Tuccillo – Giglio of Stout’s Transportation accepted the award at a luncheon held at the school.
“We’ve hired seven or eight Mercer County Technical School students over the last three years. The students have heart, soul and they are passionate about their work,” says Vivian Tuccillo – Giglio, Vice President of Operations at Stout’s Transportation.
“Sometimes when you mix high school students with senior level technicians, it’s not a good mix. The students we hired from MCTS were teaching our technicians computer skills while the technicians taught the teens the ins and outs of the workplace. It’s a symbiotic relationship that really works for us, says Rich Tisone, Project Consultant.
The Mercer County Technical School District’s General Advisory Committee honors one local business annually. The General Advisory Committee is chaired by Dr. Walter Brower, Dean Emeritus of Rider University’s School of Education. “One of the things that is very much a part of this school district is the cooperation it receives from the business community. This particular firm is making a tremendous contribution to our programs,” states Dr. Brower. More than 50 professionals from local businesses and organizations such as Capital Health, KNF Neuberger, Inc. and Wegmans make up the Mercer County Technical School District’s General Advisory Committee.
