As a result of our high scores on our previous two QSAC (Quality Single Accountability Continuum) site visits, the New Jersey Department of Education has determined our status as “high performing” as we have met the required number of QSAC indicators in each of the five mandated QSAC areas.  Therefore, we have satisfied the eligibility requirements and are now eligible to complete an application for an Equivalency Waiver in order to waive the QSAC process. If you should have any comments or concerns regarding this equivalency waiver, please contact my office no later than November 28, 2017 at 609-586-2129 ext. 1215 or email me at The submission of the waiver will be an Agenda item at our November 28, 2017 Board meeting.  Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

The Quality Single Accountability Continuum (QSAC) is the Department of Education’s monitoring and evaluation system for public school districts. The system shifts the monitoring and evaluation focus from compliance to assistance, capacity-building and improvement. It is a single comprehensive accountability system that consolidates and incorporates the monitoring requirements of applicable state laws and programs and complements federally required improvements. The system focuses on monitoring and evaluating school districts in five key components that, based on research, have been identified to be key factors in effective school districts.

1. Summary
2. Instruction and Program
3. Fiscal Management
4. Governance
5. Operations
6. Personnel
