Position Title: Audio Visual Technician

Position Description: The AV Technician, working closely with the AV Specialist and others on the Facilities Team, will provide a high level of professional assistance and independent management of the Munich Reinsurance America audio visual systems. This will include all AV and conference systems on the Home Office campus and as may be in service at MRAm branch offices and at sister entities. The AV Technician shall provide expert assistance to users to ensure their AV needs are fully met and functional at all times. As an Audio Visual Technician, you'll: Provide technical oversight of audio visual technologies and resources to enhance employee productivity, meeting effectiveness, communication proficiency, staff training & learning, and special event needs. Working closely with the AV Specialist and others, assist, schedule, coordinate, set up, take down, and otherwise oversee the AV needs of the Conference Center, Executive Board room, video conference rooms, various training rooms, general conference rooms, public space areas, etc. Operations include AV technologies, fixed and mobile videoconference equipment, Telepresence facilities, digital display TV’s/monitors and the RF distribution network, etc. Oversee the daily technical and operational needs of the Conference Center and similar meeting area resources to include scheduling, AV configuration setups, video/audio conferencing, presentation needs, lighting, equipment, etc., as well as assist with related needs (furniture, food services, event management, etc.). Other departmental responsibilities as deemed necessary by Facilities Management.

Position Requirements: Current and/or continuing or committed to obtain, CTS certification 2+ years experience working with sophisticated AV systems in a corporate setting. Related degree preferred. HVAC Mechanics working on Boiler systems must have an additional New Jersey Operating Engineers License by New Jersey Department of Labor Division of Public & Occupational Safety through the Bureau of Boiler & Pressure Vessel Compliance division.
Ability to make decisions or judgments covering most situations (including those with greater complexity/volume) applying judgment and seeking minimal guidance from manager/supervisor.
Ability to read and understand blue prints, maintenance and operational manuals. Experience in adjusting and operating Building Automation System (Automated Logic preferred). Must be able to lift and move heavy supplies, equipment and tools; operate trade specific diagnostic devices, and legally operate a motor vehicle. Must wear protective clothing as required by the work environment and/or government regulations.  OSHA, NFPA, ISSA, and/or NJDEP trained to ensure the corporation’s compliance to applicable Site Safety regulation
