2026 Academy Assessment
TESTING IS REQUIRED AS PART OF THE APPLICATION PROCESS.
STUDENT MUST HAVE AN APPLICATION ON FILE IN ORDER TO TAKE THE ASSESSMENT.
Attention MCTS STEM, Health Science, and Culinary Arts Academy applicants and families:
Thank you for applying to one of the Mercer County Technical Schools Academy Programs for the class of 2030. To complete the application process in accordance with our admissions policy, your child must complete the Language Arts and Math assessment, which is administered to all students who have applied.
The Admissions Assessment is required. If you do not take the admission assessment, your application will become ineligible.
Testing date option and location:
- FULL -
Saturday, 2/07/2026- 9:00 am to approximately 12:00 pm at the Sypek Center, 129 Bull Run Road, Pennington, NJ 08534
- Saturday, 2/21/2026- 9:00 am to approximately 12:00 pm at the Assunpink Center, 1085 Old Trenton Road, Trenton, NJ 08690

On the day of the assessment, all students must check in by 9:00 am to receive their assessment room location. The assessment will begin promptly at 9:15 am. Please note that ample parking is available.
Students must bring:
- Two #2 pencils and
- Four-function calculator for testing purposes (Should you not have one, a pocket calculator will be provided)
**Please note that cell phones will be held by the instructor until the assessment is completed. **
The admission assessment will consist of grade-level, NJ standards-based material in Math and ELA, with approximately 36 questions each, and will take one hour for each test. The assessment is the final step in the application process. Assessment results will be included in the application packet and forwarded to our Admissions Committee for review.
Students who should receive testing accommodations through an IEP or 504 plan may self-identify when scheduling their testing date and email a copy of the IEP or 504 plan to Admissions@mcts.edu
