The Mercer County Technical School District’s General Advisory Committee named KNF Neuberger, Inc. as its 2014 Business Partner of the Year. Located in Hamilton, KNF Neuberger, Inc., is a global manufacturer of specialized pumps for a variety of clients in the healthcare sector, automobile industry and homeland security. The company was selected for its sincere commitment to supporting and mentoring Mercer County Technical School students in the areas of science, technology, engineering and math. Juergen Strauss, KNF Neuberger’s Director of Manufacturing Operations, accepted the award at a luncheon held at the school. Juergen is a member of the Mercer County Technical School District’s General Advisory Committee.
“This partnership is very important for KNF and our future growth possibilities. It has provided us with a much needed venue to actively participate in fostering the rekindling of the local apprenticeship trades program. Trades are the backbone of any industrialized society, a necessity for international competitiveness and the cradle of many inventions,” states Strauss.
The Mercer County Technical School District’s General Advisory Committee honors one local business partner annually. The General Advisory Committee is chaired by Dr. Walter Brower, Dean Emeritus of Rider University’s School of Education. “We value the relationship that has been established with KNF Neuberger and we appreciate the contributions made toward the immediate success of our students,” states Dr. Brower. More than 50 professionals from local businesses and organizations such as Switlik Parachute Company, Incorporated, Wegmans and Ironworkers Local 68 make up the Mercer County Technical School District’s General Advisory Committee.
