MANICURING/NAIL TECHNICIAN (Senior Option) - (20 Credits)
The Manicuring/Nail Technician Program is a 300 instructional hour curriculum
designed to prepare students with the knowledge and practical skills needed to
become a nail technician/manicurist. It is a one-year senior option for
high school students. Students will receive instruction in manicuring,
pedicure, artificial nail services, hair removal services, sanitation, safety
and anatomy of hand, arm, foot and leg. Students will participate in
hands-on practice through supervised clinical experiences. Practical
experiences will be enhanced through collaboration with the Cosmetology
Program. Preparation for the New Jersey Manicure Licensing examination
will be provided. Licensing requirements include:
