Dance Workshop
Experience the performance art of dance in a professionally based ten-week intensive workshop starting Monday, September 15, 2008 from 4pm – 5:30 pm. Students will be exposed to techniques in ballet, jazz, and modern dance. NEW this year, the Performing Arts Workshop series is an extension of the Performing Arts High School at Mercer County Community College on the West Windsor Campus at Old Trenton Road, Trenton, NJ.
Vocal Music Workshop
This Workshop is for young vocalists, dancers and actors, ages 12 - 16, who want to focus on voice. This workshop will run for ten weeks starting Monday, January 5, 2009 from 4pm – 5:30 pm. While meeting the individual aims of aspiring performers, the Vocal Arts Program strives to develop the correct use of the voice as an instrument. In cultivating the concepts of the vocal art, we believe our students will be equipped to perform in any vocal genre. Course offerings Include: vocal techniques, solo techniques, diction and phonetics.
Acting Workshop
This Workshop is for young actors and actresses who want to focus on acting and performance technique. The program immerses teens in the world of acting in a professional, supportive, and creative atmosphere. This workshop will run for ten weeks starting Monday, March 2, 2009 from 4pm – 5:30 pm. The acting workshop includes classes working with performing arts professionals in acting, voice, diction, movement, pantomime, improvisation and audition technique. Each student will have the opportunity to participate in various acting exercises. No previous acting experience is required.
