Math II for Machine Trades - BS203

The student will be able to apply tolerancing, trigonometric and metric mathematical principles and processes to machine tool applications.
 

1. Advanced ratio and proportion
2. Squares and square roots of number
3. Basic tolerance calculations
4. Advanced tolerance calculation
5. Angular measurement
6. Angle calculations
7. Right triangles - Pythagorean Theorem
8. Right triangles - angular compliments and circles
9. Interpretation of trigonometry tables
10. Trigonometry as applied to machine tools
11. Metric calculations I
12. Metric calculations II

Location:  Sypek Center
1   36-hour unit, 2 evening per week, 3 hours per evening (12 weeks)
Prerequisite Math I.  Should be taken in conjunction with CAD I or machine BPR tolerancing, BS207.
