Cad I - MT405

The student entering this class should have a basic knowledge of computers and drawings.  The student completing this course will have a basic knowledge of CAD and be able to complete a computer generated drawing.
 

1. File management, manipulating toolbars, basic drawing, components - lines, polygons, rectangles, circles and arcs
2. Using search and help, creating templates, point entry, object snap
3. Function keys, limits, grid, drawing aids, x-lines and rays
4. Modifying objects - using chamfer, break, fillet and offset
5. Modifying objects - change properties, move mirror using the array command
6. Plotting your drawing.  Pen weights and line types
7. Modifying objects - stretch scale, rotate, using the zoom commands, using audit and recovery.
8. File management - copy files, renaming, creating new folders
9. Creating text - multiple text and dynamic text editing using spell check
10. Using the dimensioning dialogue box, using hatch - editing hatch
11. Layers - creating, editing and modifying
12. Defining units and applying scales

Location:  Assunpink Center
1  36 hour unit, 1 evening per week, 3 hours per evening (12 weeks)
